I've been trying to come up with a long game plan that explains the administration's rhetoric on Israel, and i can't. I'm convinced Biden is focused on defining steps to "resolve" the Palestinian question regardless of how clear Netanyahu is on how much he doesn't care, but all I see is attempts to have "talks" that will work this time for sure. It may be as simple as the consequences of the alternative of turning our back on Israel is deemed far worse than taking the hit with voters from the transparent table-pounding language of false equivalence, since there is plainly nothing false, and it is not equivalence by any measure. It is depressing and amazing that no one is being honest about their motives and their goals.
