If all that weren’t enough, I saw elsewhere today that some Mills dead-enders are going to pull a PUMA and vote for Collins because Mills dropping out because she couldn’t raise money despite being well known and having the backing of Schumer and the Dem establishment… is all about the Highly Experienced Woman being passed over for the Unqualified Male. I am very happy I don’t live in Maine. Platner has a history of terrible misogyny and I see NO evidence he’s done one damned thing to reject that.
Also, his candidacy is EXTREMELY gendered. No woman would ever get a pass from the Brocialists with a similar history, but Mr. Preppy In Flannel is the second coming of Eugene V Debs.
Can't say you don't have a point. He's apologized for the awful Reddit posts but we can't know how sincere he is. Again, I'm rooting for therapy. Wouldn't be a big surprise if a woman at VA was in charge of his therapy, that would be good, and he's clearly taking (excellent) advice from Sen. Warren and Rep. AOC.
A bad Democrat (which Platner may be) is better than a good Republican. This isn't the 1970's any more. You don't have to like the D candidate, and I'm pretty skeptical about Platner. But if you don't like the stench, clothespins are cheap.

Its as if when a specific button gets pushed there's a need to pass judgement that will not be denied. Context, evidence, history, contrition, none of it matters. Evil must be condemned, especially when it is not punished (enough).
