Thing is, what with taking only 10 days to get a new passport, and this big-ass refund, we are weirdly dodging the worst of the new reich. Only a matter of time, I'm certain.
On a lighter note (that's me – Mr Sunshine), our weekly demonstration along the avenue is drawing 100-150 crowd to the sidewalks with signs. It's a low-key-but-festive thing (I anticipate white wine and brie this Thursday) that captures the eyeballs of the slowriders at rush hour. Of the hundreds of vehicles we see every time, only 3 drivers have expressed contradictory views. I assume nothing to be learned from this, but choir-preaching in the real world is a sorta new thing for me.
