This election is feeling like a very large and hazy experiment. On the Democratic side, there's the growing feeling of the media reciting the same Groucho joke every day, "who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?". Republicans are tripling down on their fugue state worldbuilding, insisting they are surrounded by crisis, treason, and imminent "replacement". Each side has its avatar and icon, Harris embodying hope for stability, and Trump embodying resentment and vengance. Each side believes this election is existential, that in some fuzzy way huge parts of their identity, security, and culture will be forcibly wiped out. This is not a stable society. Something has to give, and no one has any idea what that might look like, reaching back to the Civil War for a reference. But no one is walking away from the US treasury and military this time. It will be, is, a fight for control. Violence will only play a part in destablizing public security to enable other goals, like ratfucking the electoral college. Like Trump, dumb but very, very dangerous.
1) 2 marks, for poetical phrases too numerous...well...to count...
2)The Poet Donaldo Explains Why We All Will Vote For Him Just One More Time:
Oh, You take a look at pork
Forlornly on the plate
And you think about the price
And where it's been of late
And you count yer meager coin
As you hunger for the loin
Wonderin' if they're still makin'
bacon
(ham it up, ham it up, ham it up up up
ham it, ham it, ham it
ham it up)
Is it windy in here or is it drafty
When we're becalmed, we need to get crafty
Well you got a little problem when the wind don't blow
But here's a final solution that you should know
Blame it on the schoolmarms – you gotta de-tenure 'em
Or even more apt – you oughta transgender 'em!
(Who did this to me? Who did this to me?
They say, who did this to me?)
3) Stop my brain before it free-associates again!:
"Frank or The Bluest Eye"...Anne was Old Blue Eyes??!!
"four Alabama families with transgender children, two healthcare providers, and a clergy member" walk into a bar, but nope, no health insurance there, either...
